Excellent, I'll be at work but will set the DVR. Looking forward to the new album and hope you make it to Atlanta
Was wondering, being a long time fan of Squeeze...and oh so excited they are doing a reunion type tour, w/plans for new recordings...I ordered my tickets for Radio City and splurged for the pricey package, since I wanted good seats. The tickets have been charged to my credit card, but the disclaimer said, that the tix wouldn't be mailed out until 1 week prior to the show, which is kind of nerve wracking.....So, when I heard about the Regis & Kelly appearance, I wondered if along with that show (I rarely watch it, but, I guess all exposure is good), would the "uber" squeeze fans have any kind of option to be in the audience at any promotional appearances, (you can be sure we'd be the most enthusiastic bunch there!) and heaven forbid I don't get my ticket order! I've written on a few other sites, including David Bailey's fan page, Glenn's page which had been mostly the "fluffers" but now is more Squeeze than Fluffers...I've only seen the band once before (mid 80's at Pier 34 in NYC, while working at Z100 in NYC).
I am hoping to somehow find the money to buy a ticket to at least one other show, since I'm nervous about this one. (If I could afford to go to as many as possible, I would!) ...so is there any chance, the regulars on the fanpage can get advance notice of promotional visits (TV, Radio, Talk Shows, etc.)????????
Thanks in advance, and cheers. This will be amazing...
Marcia Beth (Facebook Page) Marcia Elizabeth on MySpace, which I don't look at as often.
The dvr will be a-rolling! And to echo eric above, it sure would be great to see squeeze it Atlanta....please
Big fan for a long time. Saw Sqeeze in Boston years ago, a favorite memory....Please come to the Southeast U.S. I live in Florida, but would travel in the Southeast to see one of my all time favorite bands. Don from Orlando.
I am stupid, I forgot to set my DVR!!! Hope I can find it somewhere. Are you guys coming anywhere near the South?
You sounded great...too bad all Regis and Kelly could think to talk about was Mussels...you still rock!!!
Let me say at the outset, I'm a massive Squeeze fan and will be at three shows of the upcoming tour and possibly four. With that said I've gotta say I was dissapointed. Not because I personally didn't enjoy it but because, of all the decent songs on the album this was probably the weakest one to play live to a mostly 'new' audience. The only reason I say this is because I watched the show with four other people who didn't have a clue who Squeeze were and for the most part they weren't blown away. I realise this doesn't make my experience in any way definitive but I do feel Tempted, Some Fantastic Place, Up The Junction (to name just three) would have been better choices. Just my opinion and as I said, I personally loved it.
Best regards for the tour, looking forward to seeing you very much.
Los Angeles
please come to cincinnati!!!!!
SqueezeMike is dead on!! As a massive Squeeze fan (Radio City Tues night here I come), this was at best lip service for a promotional obligation. Think of all that we know and love about Squeeze..... Glenn's vocals, solos, intense and varied melody changes.... This was not the proper promo song.... Sorry. In addition, could someone have filled bubble head Philbin in.... what a self absorbed moron. Did anyone notice that on the intro to the song he said, "GoodBYE GirlS"....emphasis on the BYE and the S (which doesn/t even exist). Why not "Black Coffee in Bed", "Tempted", or even "Slap and Tickle" if they wanted something not instantly recognizable by the masses. Finally, the sound mix was poor...Can't blame the boys here. Probably the best they could do with what they were working with. Anyway, I hope Cheap Trick doesn't blow us away. Long time Squeeze fan, Dino
glad to see Squeeze back, the most underrated band here in N.A. Wish you were doing some Canadian dates though......saw the performance but typical US tv cuts of the majority of Mussels song. Brings back some wicked 80's memories - looking forward to picking up the album in August.
how does the headline rotation work? Cheap Trick headlined in Ohio,
SQUEEZE.........Great show in Philly on 7-16-10.
Too bad Cheap Trick was such a LOUD DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!
Could not stand all their EGOS so had to leave to save my eardrums.
Love Squeeze. Does anyone know who the original dancing girls were in cool for cats?
